Delta Outings!!
Now that sunshine weather is here, we have resumed our van outings.
All van trips have sign up sheets because we can only fit so many in the van. These sign up sheets are posted in the Activity Room a week before the event, and you have up to an hour before we leave to see if there is still a free spot.
Out to Lunches with Karin and Beth continues all year long. We enjoyed the Log Jam Restaurant in Grand Ledge and the Pizza House in East Lansing during the month of April. The next restaurant will be to the Blue Gill Grill.
Men’s Lunch Out with Nancy and Ann will be on Thursday May 20th. They will be going to the R Club.
Van Rides for Fun! These are relaxing rides through the countryside or city. They will be scheduled though out the month.
MSU Trips are being arranged. Karin is in the process of arranging a time to visit the planetarium and the horticulture gardens. We had a lot of fun going to the MSU Dairy in April. The observation deck on the 2nd floor allowed us to watch the students and the machines used to make cheese and ice cream. There were films we watched that explained the whole procedure. We topped it off with a visit to the MSU ice cream shop and bought ourselves ice cream and cheese. We are taking a tour of the MSU Bakery. We don’t know if we will be given an opportunity to buy baked goods or not, but everyone is hopeful!
Ladies Tea Party- May is the month when we celebrate our Delta Ladies. We will have a ladies only party in the living room on Tuesday, May 11th. Mark your calendars!
